Appointment reflects continued commitment to collaboration, innovation, and advancing mission outcomes across the federal technology community
Reston, Va. – [July 9, 2026] – Hitachi Federal today announced that Chief Technology Officer Majed Saadi has been appointed to the AFCEA DC Board of Directors for the 2026–2029 term. Through his service on the Board, Saadi will contribute to advancing collaboration across government, industry, and academia to address the evolving technology, cybersecurity, and national security challenges facing the federal community.
AFCEA is a professional association dedicated to connecting government, military, industry, and academia to foster dialogue and innovation in communications, information technology, intelligence, and global security. The AFCEA DC Chapter supports this mission by bringing together federal leaders and technology experts to address the issues shaping government modernization and mission success.
“AFCEA has long served as a trusted forum for collaboration across the federal technology community,” said Saadi. “I’m honored to join the Board of Directors and look forward to working alongside government and industry leaders to exchange ideas, strengthen partnerships, and help address the complex technology and cybersecurity challenges facing agencies today.”
As CTO of Hitachi Federal, Saadi leads the company’s technology strategy and works closely with federal customers to help modernize infrastructure, strengthen cybersecurity, and accelerate digital transformation. His appointment reflects both his technical leadership and Hitachi Federal’s ongoing commitment to supporting federal agencies through collaboration and innovation.
“Majed’s appointment is a testament to the expertise and leadership he brings to both our customers and the broader federal technology community,” said Mark Serway, President and CEO of Hitachi Federal. “AFCEA plays an important role in fostering the partnerships and dialogue that help advance mission success, and we’re proud to support Majed as he contributes to those efforts.”
Federal agencies continue to navigate increasingly complex technology environments, including hybrid infrastructure, evolving cybersecurity threats, artificial intelligence, and legacy modernization. Through his role on the Board, Saadi looks forward to contributing to conversations around these priorities while strengthening relationships across the federal ecosystem.
“Organizations like AFCEA create opportunities for government, industry, and academia to share perspectives, learn from one another, and develop practical solutions to common challenges,” Saadi added. “Those conversations ultimately help strengthen our nation’s cybersecurity posture and ensure technology innovation remains aligned with mission needs.”
Saadi’s participation on the Board will also provide valuable insight into evolving customer priorities and emerging technology trends, helping Hitachi Federal continue delivering solutions that support agency missions and strengthen partnerships across the federal community.
